Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp provides update on Mohamed Salah contract talks
According to Sky Sports News, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp suggests that the renewal talks between the Liverpool board and Mohamed Salah have been going very well.
The Egyptian has been in scintillating form this season. The 29-year-old has clearly developed himself into one of the best players in the world. He has been directly involved in 31 goals in 24 appearances across all competition this term.
Even though Salah’s on-field performances have been dictating his off-field stature in the transfer market, the Liverpool board hasn’t signed him to a new deal. In such a case, a possibility arises that Salah would be able to leave the club in the summer of 2023 for free. There would be a line of elite teams to get his signature and many would be ready to offer him an out-of-world deal.
But Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has shown his calmness regarding Salah’s contract talks. The German manager suggested that there has been a bright reflection from the renewal talks in recent weeks.
“We are in really good conversations.”
The former Dortmund manager also revealed that even though he wants to keep his key player, he is not bothered about the current contract stand-off.
“I want it to happen, but when? I couldn’t care less.”
Salah clearly has been the top performer for Liverpool in the last few seasons. The Egyptian has already assured a place for himself in the Reds history. The Reds have a bonafide legend in their ranks and should do all they can to ensure his legacy at the club remains intact.

Even if the Liverpool board agrees to spend €100 Million, it’d be challenging to find a replacement for Salah in the current market. Thus agreeing to a lucrative renewal deal would be the best way forward.
But giving in all the demands of a player would become problematic in the long run; thus, Jurgen Klopp’s team should play smart in the negotiation phase.
