Jurgen Klopp clarifies Liverpool injury concerns before Arsenal clash
According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed the injuries to James Milner and Kostas Tsimikas but had good news regarding Mohamed Salah ahead of next week’s trip to Arsenal.
Mohamed Salah, James Milner and Kostas Tsimikas were absent from the recent training session. They are crucial players for the squad, and their absence ahead of the big clash against Arsenal created a lot of speculation.
In his recent interview, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp clarified the situation by giving an accurate assessment of the injury issues affecting his team.
“Konate is back. Milner and Tsimikas at this moment are out. I think that is it.”
The German manager confirmed that Tsimikas and Milner are “ill”. However, another player who wasn’t seen in the recent training session was Liverpool’s top scorer of the season, Mohamed Salah. The Reds are entering a phase where every game is going to be ‘do or die’ for them. Therefore, the former Dortmund manager wouldn’t want to travel to Emirates stadium without his crucial striker.
Well, in the recent press conference, Klopp revealed that despite suffering a painful injury against Brighton last weekend, Salah is doing well.
“Mo is a tough cookie. We were quite happy and lucky. Swollen, painful, today less so. Got a message before the presser he’s ready to train. We’ll see how that looks.”
Manchester City’s draw against Crystal Palace saw their lead over Liverpool fall to just four, having played a game more. The onus is now on the Reds to make the most of their opportunity.

Even though James Milner and Kostas Tsimikas haven’t played much in the Premier League in the last few months, their absence is still a concern for the team as it leaves Jurgen Kopp with fewer choices to choose from.
Arsenal has won their last five games and are in good nick. However, Liverpool too are in good form and can put the Gunners to the sword, taking themselves to just one point behind Man City in the Premier League standings.
