Agent of Sadio Manes opens up on his client’s future at Liverpool
Speaking to TFM Senegal as quoted by Liverpool Echo, the agent of Liverpool superstar Sadio Mane has confirmed that they are not in dialogue with the club over a new contract for his client.
The Senegal international’s future at the club is not clear with his contract expiring in 2023 and the left-winger is yet to pen a new deal with the club.
Mane joined the Reds from Southampton in 2016 and has since then gone on to establish himself as a crucial player in Jurgen Klopp’s system. The marauding winger has been a key player in Liverpool’s success and continues to deliver consistently.
Considering how crucial the 23-year-old is to the set up, it is a little surprising that the Reds are yet to offer him a new contract.
Speaking about his client’s future, Bjorn Bezemer has said that although they do talk to Liverpool a lot, the two parties are not in contact yet over a new contract for the forward
“We talk a lot with Liverpool but currently we are not talking about a contract extension, we are waiting for the end of the season”

Given how much Mane has contributed to Liverpool over the last few years, it’ll be extremely surprising if the club do not make a serious attempt to retain the African star. While hs is not getting any younger, there is nod denying that he remains a difference maker.
Mane has been very influential for the Reds this season having scored 12 goals and provided two assists in 36 games this season.
A key cog in Jurgen Klopp’s winning vehicle, Mane will be key to Liverpool for the rest of the season as the Reds are chasing an unprecedented quadruple. They have already won the Carabao Cup and are going strong in the other three competitions.

Liverpool have already started preparing for the future and have signed an able replacement in Luis Diaz if Mane was to leave. The former Porto winger has already impressed at Anfield and there is no doubt that he along with Diogo Jota could lead the future attacking lineup for the Reds.
It is very likely that Liverpool get together with Sadio Mane’s entourage in the summer and negotiate over a new deal. Even if they fail to do so, they are more than equipped to handle the future.
