Real Madrid are willing to sell Rodrygo to a Premier League club with Liverpool a possible destination
According to Spanish outlet Diario AS (h/t Liverpool Echo), Real Madrid are willing to sell Brazilian winger Rodrygo to a Premier League club this summer, with Liverpool mentioned as a possible destination.
The 21-year-old Real Madrid forward is highly rated. He joined Los Blancos from Santos in 2019 and has since then established himself as one of the top talents in football. The talented Brazilian has already played 91 games for the Spanish giants which is no mean feat.
The former Santos man is perfectly comfortable playing anywhere across the frontline and his versatility makes him a very useful player in Carlo Ancelotti’s team. Although the winger has a contract with Real Madrid until 2025, the Spanish behemoths may be willing to sell the winger to a Premier League club.
Having scored just two goals in 36 appearances for Los Blancos this season, the Brazilian’s goal output leaves a lot to be desired but he has managed to provide seven assists for others. Rodrygo is undeniably a huge talent and if Real Madrid are selling him, a lot of clubs would want the Brazilian.
The Los Blancos signed him for a reported £40m three years ago and it is very likely that Real Madrid’s asking price for Rodrygo will be considerable if not more than the aforementioned amount.
An exciting acquisition?
Rodrygo’s potential is undeniably frightening and without doubt, any club that signs him will be getting their hands on an exciting player. While there is still much to be developed, the youngster has all the potential in the world.
If Liverpool are willing to spend the big bucks, then signing Rodrygo makes a lot of sense. The Reds are in the process of revamping their forward line for the future.
Diogo Jota has already made a case for being Liverpool’s leader up front in the future and they just signed Luis Diaz from Porto. The Columbian has had an instant impact on the Reds already settling into the team.
Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield is far from certain. The Egyptian superstar’s contract expires in 2023 and he is yet to pen down a new deal. He is undeniably Liverpool’s talisman and despite the Red’s desire to keep him, Salah could be on the move.

Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino also have just under 18 months left on their contracts and are not getting any younger and there will come a time when the new crop will have to take over. At 21, Rodrygo comes at a very appealing age for the Reds, and he could be their replacement for the future.
The Brazilian will not come cheap, however. It remains to be seen if the Reds are willing to pay the big bucks but if they do, then Rodrygo could turn out to be a very exciting signing.
