Liverpool target Robert Lewandowski agrees transfer to Spanish giants
According to TVP Sport (h/t Liverpool Echo), Bundesliga ace Robert Lewandowski has agreed terms over a move to Barcelona in the summer.
Lewandowski has developed himself to become one of the biggest stars in the world, dishing out one goal-laden season after another. This campaign has been no exception as the Polish star has already bagged 46 goals and four assists in 40 appearances.
The Polish superstar’s contract expires in 2023 and he is yet to pen a new deal with the Bavarian giants and his future at the club remains far from certain. At Bayern Munich since 2014, the 33-year-old is a Die Roten hero and amongst the finest strikers of his generation.
Liverpool are said to be interested in the attacker but news has emerged that he has agreed on terms with Barcelona. A move to the Nou Camp should materialize if all sides can reach a consensus in the summer.
A chance missed?
Despite being 33, the Polish striker is still one of the best in the world and seems to be aging like fine wine. He has shown no lack of hunger and if anything has gotten even more clinical in his finishing.
Lewandowski is a prolific goal scorer whose output just keeps increasing season after season. Signing him would have enabled Liverpool to add a different dimension to attack, an option very different from the ones they have.
As good as Roberto Firmino and Diego Jota are, they are no match to the Polish striker’s output but it looks like the Reds are set to miss out on the forward. The Bayern legend seems to be set on a move to Camp Nou if it is feasible and it remains to be seen what happens with the story.

There is still a chance that Lewandowski decides to stay with Bayern Munich beyond his current deal but regardless of where his future lies, it looks as if it is not going to be in Anfield after all.
