Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reacts after FA Cup win against Manchester City
According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reflects on his team’s victory against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
Liverpool have advanced to the FA Cup final after defeating Manchester City by a 3-2 scoreline. This will be the first time that Klopp will lead his side out in the prestigious competition’s history.
After Ibrahima Konaté’s header gave them the opening goal, the Reds secured the second and third goals through Sadio Mane, who was the difference-maker on the night. The first half masterclass was enough for the Reds to secure the win on the night.
However, they could have easily killed the game after bagging three goals in the first half. The Reds’ defence allowed Pep Guardiola’s team extra space in the second half, something they almost took advantage of.
In the post-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp heaped praise for his team’s performance in the first half and pointed out that they had outperformed Manchester City.
“The first half was one of the best we ever played. I loved every second of it. City knew before the game it could be difficult against us. We just wanted to go to the final, and that’s what happened.”
When asked about the quadruple, the manager cautiously chose his words to respond. He even added that he is more interested in celebrating the win, which got them to another final.
“I can’t talk about the quadruple; we have so many games. It’s all difficult, but who cares tonight? We are over the moon.”
What next for Liverpool?
Even though Liverpool have a chance to secure all four major titles, the road ahead is pretty long. Klopp’s men are set to play two tricky Premier League matches against Manchester United and Everton before taking on Villareal in the Champions League semi-final.
Pep Guardiola’s team is leading by one point in the Premier League and could potentially face Liverpool once again in the UEFA Champions League final.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has always concentrated on the game at hand, as he did during the preparation for the semi-final against City. Hence, after celebrating this win, he might be engaged in the practice of the match against Manchester United.
