Liverpool fans react on Twitter to 2022/23 Premier League fixture schedule ensuring Fabio Carvalho’s Fulham return
The 2022/23 Premier League fixture list is out and Liverpool play against newcomers Fulham in their opening game on Saturday, 6th August, at Craven Cottage.
The Reds have signed youngster Fabio Carvalho from the Cottagers this summer. The 19-year-old Portuguese playmaker was one of the most exciting talents in the Championship.
And he now has the chance to play against his old club in what could be his first PL start for his new club. Darwin Nunez is another player who we could see making his league debut for us in that game.
The former SL Benfica striker has recently sealed a move to Anfield and would be expected to have a full pre-season before the new season commences. Apart from Fulham, the Reds take on Crystal Palace at Anfield one week later.
LFC fans worried about Man City return fixture
Then comes the big one- the derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford on 20th August at Old Trafford. The last month of the season doesn’t seem to have a cluster of challenging teams for us.
The Reds play Brentford, Leicester City, Aston Villa, and Southampton in that order in May 2023. The full fixture list can be found on Liverpool’s official website here.
Fans knew already the 19 teams LFC would be against. It’s just the order of these games that tends to get people excited. Liverpool’s first PL clash with the defending PL champions Manchester City comes on 15th October.
The return fixture will be played on 1st April at the Etihad. Here is how some of our fans reacted to the new PL season’s fixture list.
