Real Madrid share transfer plans as they eye Liverpool target Jude Bellingham
Real Madrid are said to be one of the sides interested in signing Liverpool target Jude Bellingham from Borusia Dortmund in 2023, according to AS (h/t Mirror). Los Blancos have the same intentions as the Reds to pursue the young English midfielder next year.
Earlier in this transfer window, the Spanish giants successfully enticed another Liverpool target in Aurelien Tchouameni. And after failing to sign the young Frenchman, the Anfield side have delayed plans for a new midfielder, with Bellingham the top target for next summer.
Liverpool can’t lose Bellingham to Madrid
With Jurgen Klopp already missing out on a midfield target due to the Spanish champions, the club must prepare for a battle to sign Bellingham next summer as other clubs will also be looking to acquire his signature.
Liverpool missed out on Aurelien Tchouameni and wouldn’t want the same thing to happen with someone as talented as the 19-year-old English midfielder. At such a young age, Bellingham has become a lynchpin for the German side, who’ll undoubtedly be asking for a lot of money for the player.
The England international should be our main priority next summer with the Reds’ ageing midfield. Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson and James Milner are in their 30’s. While they still have a few years left in their legs, signing Bellingham would secure a midfield position in the team for years to come.
The 19-year-old has already established himself at the top of the game. The young midfielder has already made 89 appearances for the Bundesliga giants since signing from Birmingham City in 2020.
With other midfield options such as Naby Keita and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain having only a year left on their contracts, the future of Liverpool’s midfield is uncertain.
