According to the Liverpool Echo, Calvin Ramsay and Fabio Carvalho are amongst the 19 Liverpool players that will begin pre-season training on Monday, 4th June.
The session will take place at the glorious AXA Training Centre tomorrow- one of the most modern and up-to-date facilities in all of England. The other 17 players that would be seen in action are (as taken from Liverpool Echo):
Adrian, Ben Davies, Luis Diaz, Harvey Elliott, Roberto Firmino, Joe Gomez, captain Jordan Henderson, Caoimhin Kelleher, Ibrahima Konate, Joel Matip, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Nat Phillips, Thiago Alcantara, Neco Williams, Rhys Williams and Sepp Van den Berg.
The Reds are set to jet off to Bangkok and Singapore next weekend to officially begin their pre-season tour for the 2022/23 campaign. From the names above, there are a number of first-team stars that will be spotted in action as early as tomorrow.
Pre-season commences
Captain Henderson, Matip, Diaz, Konate, Matip, Thiago, and Firmino are all crucial names in Klopp’s first-team set-up. For the others, it would be about making an early impression to get more playing time in the upcoming games.
Ramsay joined the Reds this summer from Aberdeen in a move that could reach £6.5million with add-ons. Carvalho, meanwhile, followed in Harvey Elliott’s footsteps in leaving Fulham for LFC.
18 and 19 respectively, it wouldn’t be wrong to think that the two youngsters would have to wait for a while to get regular playing time under our German manager. But then again, Klopp doesn’t discriminate.
If a player is good, he gets his chance, no matter their age. The kind of trust he has put in Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones, and Trent Alexander-Arnold would offer a lot of hope to both Ramsay and Carvalho.
