Manchester United to go big for Liverpool transfer target Antony
As per Sky Sports presented Dharmesh Sheth on Twitter, Manchester United are preparing a “massive offer” for Liverpool target Antony. The Brazilian has been a standout performer for Ajax Amsterdam.
The 22-year-old has been subject to interest from Liverpool in the recent past. Manchester United’s appointment of Erik ten Hag increased speculation of the Brazilian moving to Old Trafford to join his former boss.
The right-winger has 24 goals and 22 assists from 84 appearances for the Dutch outfit. Ten Hag would be desperate for a bunch of good signings as Man United have lost both of their opening games. Sitting dead last in the Premier League table certainly is no flattering outcome.
Earlier in the transfer window, Ajax rejected United’s bid worth £51m, terming it as “utter nonsense”. It is also reported that Antony is keen on reuniting with his former gaffer at Newton Heath.
Ajax this summer, have sold Lisandro Martinez to Manchester United, and the chances of another de Godenzonen player moving to the red half of Manchester cannot be ruled out.
From a Liverpool point of view, the club signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica in the early weeks of the summer window to replace club hero Sadio Mane who joined Bayern Munich. The Reds also signed Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsey.

Even though Antony is one of the best wingers in the world, there is only a slim chance for him to get the nod ahead of Mohamed Salah at Anfield. Bringing in a right-winger is no priority at Liverpool and the chances of us entering the race for Antony seems remote.
