Diogo Jota claims he is the best at FIFA amongst his Liverpool teammates
Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has had an impressive start to life at Merseyside appearing in 85 appearances scoring 34 goals and notching 9 assists, instantly becoming a fan favourite.
For his performance, the player signed a new contract until 2027 with the club looking at him to be a mainstay for years to come. Not just on the pitch, but he is quite a popular figure in the virtual world as well.
He is notably good at EA Sports’ FIFA video game series and one of his crowning achievements was beating Barcelona’s Pedri to win the FIFA 22 Challenge Tournament last year.
Right now, Jota has been sidelined with an ankle injury which has left him out of the squad in the first three league games and would be frustrated with how the league has started for Liverpool.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Diogo Jota spoke about his new deal and spending time with his family during the summer. The Liverpool forward also spoke highly about FIFA 23 which is scheduled to be released on 30th September 2022.
“I am also waiting for FIFA 23 to come out because I just love that game. I love football and I love competing. With FIFA, I am able to do both.”
Diogo Jota has been a staunch supporter of the game and won the inaugural ePremier League tournament in 2020 when representing Wolves.
He has continued his Fifa exploits after joining Liverpool and when asked if he is the best player of the game in the squad, he replied:
“At Liverpool, for sure.”
Jota would be waiting to recover as soon as possible with his side struggling to find feet in the league with an aim to fight for a place in the starting eleven following the arrival of Darwin Nunez from Benfica.
Diogo Jota is part of a long list of injuries to Jurgen Klopp’s side with Thiago Alcantara, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate and Naby Keita all out of contention.

Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that his injured stars make their return as soon as possible with an aim to kickstart our campaign following a very dismal start. Jota in particular would go a long way in solving our issues up front once he returns,
He is good with both his feet and can play anywhere across the frontline. That is always a bonus to have and with Roberto Firmino failing to impress for a while now, Jota’s return is much awaited.
