Naby Keita will not join Guinea national team for the upcoming international fixtures

According to the Chief editor of the Liverpool Echo, Ian Doyle, Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita will not be joining the Guinea national team and will continue his rehabilitation process.

Naby Keita was in the middle of a confused stance between his club and national team with the midfielder being left out of the official UEFA Champions League squad list due to his injury.

However, Keita was selected by the national team for the upcoming international fixtures thus creating a sense of confusion amongst the Reds.

Guinea manager Kaba Diawara was confident that the midfielder would recover in time to help his team for the upcoming fixtures.

However, with the latest claims of the midfielder not joining the national team, the confusion around his injury has been addressed for good.

Keita has made just one appearance for the club before sustaining an injury and is currently undergoing rehabilitation with little chance of him joining the Guinea national team this month.

Naby Keita’s transfer was met with a lot of excitement amongst the supporters with the midfielder one of the best talents in Bundesliga at that time.

He was supposed to be the midfield general around whom Jurgen Klopp would build his team but his time at Liverpool has been anything but that.

Several injuries and inconsistent form have never allowed the player to cement his place in the first team and with his contract expiring after this season, it is a make-or-break season for the Guinea midfielder at Anfield.

The player would expect to complete his rehabilitation process as soon as possible and look forward to having a strong season ahead. It is really frustrating that injuries have limited his role at LFC.

This season will be very important for him. Hopefully, he is back soon and plays a big role for the Reds.
