Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooker claims his team is not fearful of Liverpool ahead of the fixture on Saturday
Liverpool have seen a rise in form with two consecutive league victories against Manchester City and West Ham United pushing the team to seventh in the league.
Next up is bottom-of-the-league newcomers Nottingham Forest who have failed to convince the critics after a splendid summer window, which saw them break the Premier League record by signing as many as 21 new players.
However, the team has not been able to replicate the form shown in the transfer window and would be a considerably easier opposition than our previous two.
Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper does not believe the same and while speaking to Sky Sports before the game, Cooper claims that his team will not be in awe and fearful of the in-form Liverpool team.
“There might not be that many weaknesses but, at the same time, you’ve got to go into these games really backing yourself and really thinking you can make a difference.
We’re not going to go into the game fearing it and in awe of Liverpool.”
It is true that no team should enter a fixture fearing the opposition which already declares the result and Cooper is right in enforcing some positivity to his team ahead of a very tough tie for the newcomers.
With an outstanding summer window, many predicted Nottingham to be much better than its current position which at one time called for speculation for the head coach to be discharged from his services.
However, on the contrary, Cooper was handed a new contract by the management to show belief in his vision which has somehow resulted in the performances becoming better than the initial few games.
The fixture against Nottingham Forest provides Klopp with the best opportunity to gain a stronghold in the league standings after two positive results.
At the same time, it could allow him to tinker with his formation to really see what suits best the remaining personnel, after key injuries to attackers Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.

After a dismal start to the season, it looks like the sun is shining yet again at Anfield and with the team’s confidence high, it would not be wise to suggest that anything other than three points on Saturday would be seen as a disappointing result.
