“What is going on”- Jamie Carragher questions form of this key Liverpool player

Jamie Carragher raises doubts over Liverpool star Fabinho

Following the 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Liverpool legend and pundit Jamie Carragher took to Twitter to question the Reds’ performance and called out Fabinho for his poor form.

The Brazilian was one of the players who could have done much better on the night. For a player of his standard, he was actually very poor last night. He made a number of inaccurate passes and on top of that, did not win any of his duels or tackles yesterday all game.

The former Monaco man has not had the best of seasons this time around, and hopefully, it is nothing more than just a blip in his form. The 29-year-old is one of the most crucial players for the club and his not being on song shows in the performances.

Taiwo Awoniyi’s goal early in the second half ensured that Liverpool had a mountain to climb in the game. Virgil van Dijk’s attempt in the first half stands out as it would have changed the complexion of the game had the ball gone in.

Fabinho in poor form

However, in hindsight, Liverpool could have done so much better. Hence, it is important not to focus on the past and prepare for the next game. Fabinho however, needs to step up more often this season as he has looked half the player.

A few games on the bench might be what the Brazilian needs to get his mojo back. However, the multiple midfield injuries for Liverpool do not even allow for something like that to happen.

Here is what Jamie said after the full-time whistle via Twitter:

More Liverpool News

Liverpool have a lot of games stuffed within a week’s period coming up and player fatigue is something that needs to be managed well. It has felt like forever since the Reds have won an away league game, but hopefully, that bad streak shall also come to an end soon.
