Jose Enrique believes Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp would have the same success as Pep Guardiola if he had top-quality strikers

According to former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique via his official Twitter Account, he believes Jurgen Klopp would have had the same success as Pep Guardiola if he had a similar set of strikers at his disposal.

Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola have both been the main Premier League rivals over the past few teams with their teams going neck-to-neck with each other for the league title.

However, if one analysis properly could find a disparity with the level of players that are provided to the German as compared to his Spanish counterpart.

Liverpool owners, FSG are stringent spenders if compared to Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan who has transformed the team with their heavy investment over the years to allow Pep to play his preferred way of football.

Jurgen Klopp has made a name for himself for buying rough diamonds and polishing them into superstars whereas Pep usually goes for targets that have already established themselves at the highest level.

A debatable argument of whether Pep can find success with the Liverpool squad speaks volumes of the work done by Klopp to ensure the team fights on all ends in the past few seasons.

Hence, it would be correct to state that if Klopp had the option of attaining the targets mentioned in the list above, there could have been more trophies and accolades to his name. Darwin Nunez is arguably the only real striker he has brought with the ability to lead our line week in, week out.

Before this, he worked mostly with Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi – two players that were already here when he became our manager.
