Injury News: Dejan Kulusevski set to return to Tottenham Hotspur line-up against Liverpool on Sunday

Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski, currently on loan from Juventus, could potentially return to Antonio Conte’s side on Sunday against Liverpool and start at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. The winger was out with a thigh injury he suffered last month.

Spurs, who are already without Son Heung-min for the fixture must be having a breather knowing that Kulusevski could be a part of the squad against the Reds. The Swede missed the last six league games due to his injury.

The 22-year-old is an extremely effective player and could prove to be a match-winner for the Italian manager of the North London outfit. In 29 appearances across all competitions for Spurs, the former Parma man has six goals and 11 assists.

As per Football.london, Cristian Romero and Richarlison alongside Son are also doubts for the Liverpool game. However, the report expects the Argentine to return for Sunday’s game. Kulusevski, in that regard, will be a welcome addition to their squad.

He has been one of their best players since joining them from Juventus in January and will surely be an upgrade in the eyes of manager Antonio Conte over starting someone like Bryan Gil. The Reds themselves are without the services of a number of stars.

Injury Galore for Liverpool as well

Joel Matip, James Milner, Naby Keita, Arthur Melo, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota are all out with injuries and will understandably not take part on Sunday in London. Milly, though, is out as a precaution for a concussion against Napoli.

Liverpool’s recent form in the league is extremely concerning. Post the win against West Ham United, the Reds’ have lost both their league fixtures against opponents in the relegation zone at the time of the game.

1-0 against Nottingham and 2-1 vs Leeds at home sees the Reds sit in the ninth position on the league standings with four wins and as many losses and draws. It is extremely crucial for the Reds to somehow win against Spurs to strengthen their case of a top-four finish.
