Jude Bellingham responds to a reporter on Liverpool rumours
Liverpool’s primary transfer target Jude Bellingham put in a world-class performance for England against Senegal in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16 game between both countries wherein the Three Lions emerged victorious 3-0. Reds’ captain Jordan Henderson broke the deadlock, and he was solid in the game as well.
Soon after Hendo scored his goal, Jude and he shared a very intense celebratory moment which gave rise to further speculation on Bellingham joining the Reds next summer. The pair share a very close bond off-the-field which could potentially shape the Reds’ transfer business.
The 18-year-old’s form has not been a shock as he delivered world-class performances for Borussia Dortmund week in, and week out. But the fact that he is displaying his class on such a huge stage will plummet his market value, which is already around £131m.
The pair of Hendo and Jude was speaking to the press after their game against Senegal. Hendo spoke to answer a few questions about Jude’s impact on the English team, how mature he is despite his young age and a few other generic questions, as Jude stood beside him.
Bellingham and Liverpool
After all of that, the presenter simply provoked the pair to get something out in context to Jude moving to Merseyside, and what the future holds for him. While Henderson laughed off the question, Bellingham gave a smirk before saying, “You’ve ruined it for all of us.”

Hopefully, this does not mean that he would not want to move to Liverpool as he answered back in a jovial manner. By all means, he stands contracted to Dortmund until 2025 (Transfermarkt), and speaking about his future during the World Cup does not seem to be the best thing to do.
Hopefully, the owners pool in enough money in the January window for the Reds to buy Bellingham and we could have a world-class player on our books at least in the summer of 2023.

Besides, Liverpool’s midfield needs an overhaul as soon as possible as the current lot is ageing, and the younger guns in the squad are not the finished product yet. Therefore, a top-class player or two joining the Reds will be beneficial for Liverpool after all.
