Liverpool interested in USMNT and Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah

According to 90min (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool have shown interest in USMNT and Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah, who has impressed many with his performances at the FIFA World Cup.

Liverpool’s need for recruitment in the midfield is known to everyone and the 20-year-old Musah could prove to be an excellent addition to the team, having played in England already while being part of Arsenal’s academy.

Musah showcased his skill of never-ending runs from midfield and the ability to be able to play comfortably from both feet and was one of the standout performers of the impressive USMNT showing at the World Cup.

Now, it is claimed that Jurgen Klopp and the team could look at the midfielder to solve the ageing issues at the team and could try to lure him away from Valencia, where he has a contract until 2026 (Transfermarkt).

Valencia manager and Italian legend Gennaro Gattuso is aware of the increasing interest in the midfielder and would look for a contract extension to reward him for his rapid development.

However, with the club at a position where European football for next season looks like a steep task, it could provide interested clubs with the perfect opportunity to swoop in for the player.
