Real Madrid close to signing Palmeiras forward and Brazil teen sensation and Liverpool target Endrick

According to Fabrizio Roman (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool are closing in on Palmeiras and Brazilian teen sensation Endrick, who was also linked with Liverpool in the past days.

Endrick is the latest huge talent to come out of Brazil and at 16 years of age, already has all the top clubs circling for his signature.

However, it seems like the UEFA Champions League winners have taken an extra stride and are close to completing a deal for the teenager for a fee which could rise up to €72m.

Madrid have been consistent with their approach of signing highly talented youngsters from Brazil as seen with the example of Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo and they are willing to continue with their strong interest in Endrick.

It would come as a major blow to Jurgen Klopp and his team, who had made initial approaches to register an interest in the player but such has been the players’ hype over the last year that all top teams have been interested in signing the player.

However, it is always good to have a positivist outlook on things and the huge fee that will be saved from the transfer can be used in the acquisition of another signing, which can actually impact the team presently.

Jude Bellingham is tipped to be the primary target for us come the summer transfer window but in no way Borussia Dortmund will let go of their prized asset so easily. Hence, it would take a huge amount to convince the German club to part ways with the young sensation who has taken huge strides since moving to Bundesliga.

The manner in which our recruitment team has worked over the past few years, there should be no doubt that we will approach the coming transfer windows with a positive approach to revitalise an ageing squad.
