Liverpool transfer target Jamal Musiala does not want to change clubs
In what could be a blow to Liverpool, Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala does not wish to move on from the Bavarian giants in the near future as per Sky Germany. (h/t Liverpool Echo)
After his performances in the World Cup, one would believe that Bayern either would not let him go or ask for a billion pounds in exchange for their star player. One of the brightest talents in the world, Musiala proved why he is so sought after this season, impressing for both club and country.
The attacking midfielder can pull the strings in the central midfield as well. In 31 games across all competitions this season, he has 12 goals and as many assists including his lay-off for Niclas Füllkrug against Spain at the World Cup.
His long-term contract at Bayern expires only in 2026 (Transfermarkt) and Liverpool would obviously need to part ways with a heavy price tag if they want to get the Cobham Academy graduate on board.
Musiala and Liverpool
Nevertheless, his not wanting to leave Bayern would obviously mean that a move to any other club in the world, let alone Liverpool will not be an easy task. Sky’s report also says that he wants to extend his deal with Die Roten so that for sure is an indication of the fact that he prefers staying in the Bundesliga for a prolonged time.
Although Liverpool’s primary transfer target is Jude Bellingham, having a player of Musiala’s skill level would have been a signing of the same level as well. But now, it is about sequencing their targets and going ahead with one.
Having said that, there would have been hardly any Liverpool fans who would have believed a transfer for Musiala to actually go through. The chances of Bayern moving heaven and earth to keep him is to be expected.

If not Musiala, then Jude. But hopefully, Jude has full interest in joining Liverpool as many fans have considered him one of our own during the World Cup and it is fitting for him to join the Reds to carry on the midfield for the years to come.
