Liverpool target Jude Bellingham has his eyes set on a move to Anfield
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio (h/t Liverpool Echo) claims that it is a ‘dream’ of Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham to play for Liverpool.
Liverpool have long been touted to be one of the seriously interested sides in acquiring the services of Bellingham and is considered one of the primary targets for the summer transfer window.
Bellingham’s rise from playing at Birmingham City to representing his country at the FIFA World Cup has been immense and it is no surprise that all top clubs are circling around to get his signature.
With 3 more years left on his contract at Dortmund (Tranfermarkt), the club do not have the urgency to sell in the coming window and hence would do everything to convince Bellingham to stay at the German for at least one more year.
If not, then Dortmund would definitely command a huge fee for the talented prospect and many have speculated the fee to be somewhere between £85m and £130m.
Hence, it would not be an easy task to conclude a deal for Bellingham in the coming window. However, if the claims of Di Marzio are correct then it is definitely a boost for us in leading the race for his transfer.
Over the past few days, the message of signing a top-quality young midfielder has taken a gear up with the club also linked to Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez, who has been excelling with his performances at the FIFA World Cup.
Bellingham would be an excellent signing for us and the news aforementioned could probably be a play from the player’s side as well to send a message to Liverpool.
It is rather wonderful that the player is keen to join Jurgen Klopp and co. as he had a plethora of options with clubs like Manchester City and Real Madrid also showing interest.
