Paris Saint-Germain ‘strongly interested’ in Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah
Star winger Mohamed Salah signed a contract extension with Liverpool just before the current campaign. The 30-year-old Egyptian, ever since his move to the Reds in 2017 has been a very integral part of our attack, but this season, the player has been a tad bit off-colour.
Even with that, he is the biggest goal contributor to the team this season. However, news emerges that Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain eye a move for the former Roma winger. Italian publication CalcioMercatoweb talks about how PSG want to get him on board in Paris.
Moreover, the publication also talks about how Liverpool are open to the offer at €80m or thereabouts. Yes, take a moment. Proceed to giggle at this piece of news as in no circumstance shall manager Jurgen Klopp or Salah himself for that matter, would want to even think of a move.
Mo Salah to PSG?
There is hardly any player in the Reds’ recent history who has been as influential as Salah. With 173 goals and 70 assists in 284 appearances across all competitions, the player stands on course to potentially beat every Liverpool scoring record in history and there is absolutely no doubt that the Reds should not sell him at any cost.
Adding to that, Liverpool are in a transitional phase and selling their best-performing player during this stage is as futile as it can get. Even though he is not at his best this season, Salah has 17 goals and seven assists in 30 appearances across competitions.
It seems improbable that Salah will depart from Liverpool as he plays a vital role in the plans of manager Jurgen Klopp. Despite his recent difficulties, Salah continues to be a crucial player for Liverpool and plays a significant part in the club’s achievements.

This becomes even more important given the interest from PSG, as losing Salah would likely have a negative impact on the club.
