Famous football agency ROOF adds Liverpool stars Virgil van Dijk and Harvey Elliott to their roster
According to The Athletic (subscription required), famous football agency ROOF has added two Liverpool stars Virgil van Dijk and Harvey Elliott to their roster as part of their UK expansion.
ROOF agency has already been working with some of the top players in the European circuit, including current Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita and former Reds star Sadio Mane, who is currently at Bayern Munich.
Other prominent names attached to this agency are German stars Kai Havertz, Serge Gnabry and Marc-Andre ter Stegen among others. England striker Tammy Abraham and Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman will now be represented by the company as well.
In other news, leading agent Neil Fewings has joined ROOF as a managing partner after working for 15 years as a vice president of global football for the Wasserman agency.
Fewings, along with Nabile Hakimi and their team will work on the expansion of their brand across the UK and Europe. Acquiring the likes of van Dijk and Elliott is definitely helping in the expansion.
They expect a few more high-profile names to get attached to the company. Added to the offices in Munich and Madrid, ROOF now has an office in London as well to boost the strategic growth plans.
While it seems like normal news for the common public, it is big for the players. A host of players getting represented by such a big company is always good for their brand and marketing. These things are key parts of the components in the world game of the modern age.

For van Dijk, after a month off due to a hamstring injury, he was back in parts of team training this week. The Dutchman would be expected to take another week before being in contention to start games for Liverpool. His aura has taken a hit this season due to poor form. Maybe a month off from the game could help him regain that panache at the back.
