Liverpool linked with a move for Napoli star Piotr Zielinski
According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti when talking to Give Me Sport (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool have been linked with a move for talented Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski for the umpteenth time.
Zielinski is a Polish international who currently plays for Napoli in Italy’s Serie A. He’s a versatile midfielder who can play in a number of positions, including central midfield and on the wing.
He’s known for his technical ability, his eye for a pass, and his work rate. There’s no denying that Zielinski would be a great addition to our squad. We’ve been lacking depth in midfield for some time now, and he would provide a much-needed boost in that area.
He has been a key part of the club in their inspirational Serie A campaign. However, it looks like he is set to be on the move. A move to a big club might be on the cards for the Polish star in the summer.

“As well as Amrabat, who was courted by Barcelona in this winter transfer season, [Liverpool are also looking at] Merino of Real Sociedad and Zielinski, whose contract will expire in June 2024 and will most likely leave Napoli at the end of the season”
As a Liverpool fan, it’s hard to know what to make of the latest news linking us with a move for Piotr Zielinski. On the one hand, he’s a talented midfielder who could add some much-needed depth and quality to our squad. On the other hand, we’ve been down this road before and it never seems to end well.
One thing that does seem to be in our favour is the fact that the 28-year-old’s contract is set to expire next year. If he doesn’t sign a new deal with Napoli soon, they may be forced to sell him in the summer to avoid losing him for nothing.
However, the fact that we’ve been linked with Zielinski so many times in the past is a cause for concern. It seems like every transfer window there’s a new rumour linking us with him, but nothing ever seems to come of it.
