Former Liverpool forward Djibril Cisse dreams of seeing French superstar Kylian Mbappe at Liverpool
According to French outlet L’Equipe (h/t Liverpool Echo) Paris St. Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe could look to leave the French capital in the coming summer window, with Liverpool previously being linked with the player.
It is claimed that Mbappe’s mother admires Liverpool as a club and also had conducted a meeting to discuss a transfer when the player was still at AS Monaco.
Any further interest could not be materialised and the player made the switch to Paris. Although he has gained superstardom since his move, he has always set his eyes on a move abroad and was close to sealing a move to Real Madrid.
However, he ended up signing a short-term contract extension at the club but it seems like he could be on his way out and the summer transfer window provides the perfect opportunity to test PSG’s resilience in keeping hold of their prized asset.
If he is available for a transfer, almost all top clubs would be running for his signature and Liverpool certainly would be in the mix. He would, however, be a costly, costly buy in every sense and shade of that word. He apparently earns 5.21million Pounds a month and still has 28 months left on his contract at the Parc des Princes.
There is absolutely no way Les Parisiens let him leave for cheap. There is no reason for them to consider such a transfer even if the player wants to leave. Former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse, while speaking to Ladbrokes Fanzone (h/t Echo), dreams of seeing Mbappe play for Liverpool and hopes his mother’s admiration for the club plays a part in convincing the player to move to Anfield.
“I really, really want to see Kylian Mbappe at Liverpool. I would love to see him at Anfield. In this team, he’d cause so much damage. I know that his mother loves Liverpool but the boy loves Real Madrid, so who knows where he will end up.
But I want to dream about seeing him at Liverpool… and they say mothers are never usually wrong, so maybe we’ll see him in a Liverpool shirt soon!”
It is undeniably true that Mbappe is a generational player and has the potential to single-handedly destroy any opposition. It would definitely be a dream for any club to sign a player of Mbappe’s ilk, who at just 24 years of age, could be the leading centre point for the good foreseeable future.
It remains to be seen whether first of all, his parent club would allow him to be sold and even if the mentioned scenario plays out, it would be a tough race to convince the Frenchman to join Liverpool.

Especially considering the blunders made during the ongoing season, anything other than a UEFA Champions League qualification could scupper any hope to sign the talent.
Hopefully, with 15 games set to go, we see an upturn in form and are able to build on some good performances and have a good finish to the season which is crucial to secure top targets like Mbappe.
