Transfer News: Exit-bound Liverpool star has MLS options

Outbound Liverpool star Roberto Firmino has MLS options at hand

Liverpool is facing the potential loss of Roberto Firmino to the United States, as reports suggest he’s attracting offers from the MLS according to Tom Bogert via Liverpool Echo. LAFC and St Louis City are apparently, the clubs making moves to sign the Brazilian forward.

Firmino has spent eight successful years at Anfield, but his contract is will expire in the summer (Transfermarkt). The news of his departure, confirmed last week, as the player made the decision not to extend his contract with Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Firmino’s departure is disappointing for the Reds, as he is someone who has been a key player for the team during his time at the club. His creativity, work rate, and ability to link up with his teammates have made him a fan favourite at Anfield.

The Brazilian has also been a part of Liverpool’s incredible run of success in recent years, helping the club to win the Premier League, Champions League, and Club World Cup among other domestic accolades. While it’s always difficult to lose a player of Firmino’s calibre, Liverpool will be looking to move on and find a suitable replacement.

Firmino to move to the MLS?

The club has a history of identifying and developing talented players, and there’s no reason to believe that won’t continue in the future.

Fans will be sad to see Firmino leave, but they can take comfort in the fact that he’s leaving the club on good terms and with a lot of success under his belt.

As for Firmino himself, he’ll be looking forward to a new challenge in the MLS, where he’ll no doubt continue to shine as one of the league’s top players. Speaking of the present though, there is no doubt that Bobby would stand focused on getting the right results for the Reds right now.

It is clear that the Reds will miss Firmino’s presence, both on and off the pitch. He has been a popular figure at Anfield, known for his work rate, selflessness and team spirit. He has also been an important part of the club’s community work and has always been willing to give back to the fans.

In the meantime, Liverpool fans will have to cherish the remaining months they have with Firmino. He has been a fantastic servant to the club and deserves to be celebrated for all that he has achieved. All we can do is wish him all the best for the future, wherever his career may take him as he is for sure, a champion player.
