Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard says he’ll never tire of scoring at Anfield
Liverpool FC Legends won their LFC Foundation charity match over Celtic Legends 2-0. Former captain Steven Gerrard opened the scoring for Liverpool legends, scoring from a spot-kick. Mark Gonzalez scored the other goal, making it an easy win for the home side.
Gerrard spent 17 seasons at Liverpool, captaining the side for over a decade, and he is one of the greatest players in the club’s history, if not the greatest. During his time at Anfield, he scored 186 goals in 710 appearances, and he played a vital role in some of the club’s most memorable moments in winning the 2005 UCL.
For Gerrard, Anfield was more than just a stadium; it was his home. Every time he stepped out onto the pitch, he obviously knew that the fans in the stadium and even the ones watching from home were behind him every step of the way.
