Real Madrid are open to offers for Liverpool target Aurelien Tchouameni
Liverpool could complete mission Aurelien Tchouameni this summer, one year after missing out on him as he joined Real Madrid from AS Monaco for a fee of around 80million Pounds.
According to Spanish outlet El Naciona (h/t Liverpool Echo) earlier this month, Jurgen Klopp is keen on the idea of signing the French midfielder. Apparently, the German manager is open to making a bid of around 71million Pounds for his services.
In what will come as a boost for the Reds, Eduardo Inda of El Chiringuito de Jugones (h/t Spanish outlet Fichajes) has claimed that Real Madrid could be open to offers for the 23-year-old. Apparently, they haven’t entirely been convinced by his performances.
Tchouameni is a brilliant defensive midfielder who specializes in helping out his team when out of possession. He is not too shabby on the ball either and can get in and around the box in the final third to help his attackers.
Must get this done
There are hardly any chinks in Tchouameni’s armour. If there are, then they can be galvanised over the next few years because the player possesses the raw talent to be one of Europe’s very best.
That is perhaps the reason why Liverpool and Real Madrid were both keen to sign him last summer. The Reds’ need for a midfielder is very obvious at this point.
Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara and James Milner are in their 30s. Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have massively disappointed with their inconsistency while Harvey Elliott and Fabio Carvalho just don’t have the physical presence to be number 8s here.

The report adds that Tchouameni doesn’t want to leave Santiago Bernabeu. Hence, one would imagine that the offer from Liverpool would have to be lucrative enough for Los Blancos to force the Frenchman to leave. This looks like a move we should make but only time will tell if it can ever materialise.
