Ryan Gravenberch wants to leave FC Bayern Munich and join Liverpool in the summer transfer window

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes (h/t Liverpool Echo), FC Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch wants the club to sell him in this summer window with Liverpool as his preferred destination.

Gravenberch was signed by Bayern from Ajax last summer but has seen very few opportunities come his way and now believes that a move away from the Bavarians is the best step for his career.

Unlike the Bayern that we all are aware of, there seems to be a change of culture there with many new players and managers not being able to settle under the new management of CEO Oliver Kahn.

They are on the verge of losing the Bundesliga title to rivals Borussia Dortmund and it seems like Gravenberch has had enough of his time in Germany.

He prefers a move away in the summer with claims suggesting that Liverpool is his desired destination if a transfer ever takes place.

On the other hand, Liverpool needs midfield reinforcements to be a dominant force in Europe again with our current season majorly plagued by the absence of quality players in the middle of the pitch.

Gravenberch, 21, could be a really exciting addition to the squad and despite the lack of playing time in Germany, there is no doubt about the high potential of the player.

With us on the cusp of missing out on the signing of Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid, it is imperative that alternatives of similar profiles be looked at and Gravenberch is definitely one such profile.

The only stumbling block will be the long contract that Gravenberch is on at Bayern with his current contract expiring in 2027.

It remains to be seen whether the club will move forward with their interest due to the high fee that Bayern will look to generate if Graverberch is sanctioned a transfer.
