Liverpool are in contact with agents of Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone ahead of potential offers
As per transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have made contact with the agents of midfielders Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone again this week.
It is also revealed that the Reds have asked for some time as they are currently busy completing the deal to sign Alexis Mac Allister.
Mac Allister has a medical with Liverpool today as he intends to sign the deal this week before joining the national team on June 10.
Coming back to Thuram and Kone, both young French midfielders will be a part of the national team squad contesting the U21 European Championship starting later this month.
The former plays for Ligue 1 side Nice while the latter plays for German side Borussia Monchengladbach.
With regard to attributes, Thuram is more of a physically-dominant box-to-box midfielder while Kone is more of a glider on the ball who can play the defensive midfield role.
So, both players are different in style and the positions they can operate in. Hence, the club is in contact with their agents ahead of a potential offer in the coming days or weeks.
By now, everyone knows that Liverpool could do with more than a Mac Allister to bolster their midfield department ahead of the start of next season.
It is not only because of the players who have left the club this summer but also due to the fact that some of the first-choice midfielders like Fabinho and Jordan Henderson need help as they look increasingly worn out having played a lot of football in the last five years.
