Liverpool target Manu Kone to leave Borussia Monchengladbach ‘at the right price’
Liverpool’s pursuit of Manu Kone has received a significant boost as Borussia Monchengladbach’s sporting director, Roland Virkus, has revealed that the French midfielder is ‘available for the right price.’
The Reds see themselves linked with Kone as they continue their summer transfer activity following the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister. Speaking to KICKER via Liverpool ECHO, here is what Virkus had to say on the prospect of Kone leaving the Bundesliga club this summer:
“Our attitude is well-known. If there are sums involved that a club like Borussia has to think about, we will do it.”
Virkus’s comments indicate that Borussia Monchengladbach is open to negotiating a deal for Manu Kone if the financial offer meets their expectations. This development will surely capture the attention of Liverpool’s decision-makers as they look to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the new season.
Liverpool’s pursuit of Kone underscores their ambition to strengthen their squad and compete at the highest level. The club’s proactive approach in the transfer market reflects their desire to maintain their status as one of the top teams in English and European football.
Kone to the Reds?
With Virkus’s acknowledgement that Monchengladbach is open to negotiations, Liverpool now has an opportunity to secure the services of Kone as soon as possible. However, it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can reach an agreement on the financial terms.
As the summer transfer window progresses, Liverpool fans will be eagerly anticipating further developments regarding Kone’s potential move to Anfield. The prospect of the French midfielder joining the likes of Alexis Mac Allister among others in Liverpool’s ranks will undoubtedly excite supporters, who are eager to see their team continue their pursuit of silverware.
The potential acquisition of the 22-year-old Frenchman would add further depth and quality to the Reds’ lineup. Judging from our recent transfer targets and acquisitions, it seems that Liverpool remain focused on bringing in midfielders who are versatile enough to fit in almost any role in the middle of the park.
Kone is certainly among those and hopefully, we conclude business sooner than later so that all acquisitions come right in time and adjust themselves to the needs and requirements of the team ahead of the new season.
