Juventus want Adrien Rabiot to extend contract amid Liverpool links
Adrien Rabiot is a free agent in less than a month’s time and at the same time, Liverpool show a decent amount of interest in bringing him to Merseyside.
As lucky as we could get to land a player like Adrien Rabiot for free, that is far from the case. Even though links with the player have died down a great extent in recent weeks, he could still be a quality addition to the Reds.
However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via ECHO, Juventus remain hopeful to extend Rabiot’s contract beyond the end of this month and plan to extend the same by a year. His current deal lasts no longer than until the end of this month as mentioned earlier (Transfermarkt).
The report further states that Juve might find it tough to land an agreement with the Frenchman due to the lack of UEFA Champions League football. And if that is the case, Liverpool also could kiss the idea of getting him on board goodbye, at least for this season.
Do the Reds need Rabiot?
We would rather get players who stick by the ideas of the team and the common objective no matter the circumstances. Moreover, there have been several instances of attitude issues on Rabiot’s part, and that would not contribute positively to the ethos and the environment at Liverpool.
