Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz were among Liverpool FC’s star performers in the latest run of international games

Earlier this week, England’s 7-0 annihilation of North Macedonia saw two Liverpool stars contributing to the Three Lions. The Reds’ skipper Jordan Henderson assisted Marcus Rashford’s goal while a newfound midfield role for Trent Alexander-Arnold worked him wonders and was Gareth Southgate’s best player on the pitch, second only to Bukayo Saka.

Hendo played his part in the game for an hour while Trent stayed on for the entirety of the game. Elsewhere, Ibrahima Konate and Kostas Tsimikas came up against each other in France’s 1-0 win over Greece with Kylian Mbappe scoring a penalty.

The Republic of Ireland had Liverpool star Caoimhin Kelleher on the bench as they emerged victorious against Gibraltar scoring three whilst keeping a clean sheet. In Argentina’s 2-0 win over Indonesia, new Liverpool boy Alexis Mac Allister was left on the bench for the 90 minutes.

On Tuesday, a lot more Liverpool stars were in action. Most notably, Luis Diaz, who was among the goal-scorers for Colombia in their 2-0 win over Germany as he thumped a powerful header past Marc Andre ter Stegen before Juan Cuadrado scored a penalty to settle things.

All Reds shining on International Duty

Coming back to Europe, Scotland captain Andy Robertson led his team to their fourth consecutive win as the Scots got the better of Georgia in a rain-affected 2-0 win as the match saw itself delayed for over 90 minutes due to excessive rain.

Diogo Jota came on towards the business end of things for Portugal as Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal saw them beat Iceland by a goal to nothing. Alisson remained on the bench in Brazil’s 4-2 loss to Senegal.

This should conclude the international break bar a fixture here or there. Hopefully, the Reds bring on their positive form back to Merseyside as they surely have a lot to do and bring some trophies back to Liverpool after a poor season.

The buildup for the upcoming season continues as we speculate transfer news and hope for Jurgen Klopp and Co. to add more midfielders to the lineup.
