Liverpool willing to agree personal terms with Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga

Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga might surely be on his way to Liverpool as the representatives from either party agree on personal terms.

According to Corriere del Mezzogiorno, via Paisley Gates (h/t ECHO), Veiga could be set to earn £83,000 per week at Liverpool. With competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Serie A side Napoli, Liverpool will surely need to act swiftly to secure the signing of the 21-year-old Spaniard.

The report also suggests that Napoli, under the guidance of new manager Rudi Garcia, are preparing a final attempt to lure Gabri Veiga to Italy. Garcia, keen on strengthening his midfield options, sees the youngster as a vital addition to his squad. Liverpool will have to fend off the Italian giants and prove that their project and ambitions are superior to Napoli’s as they strive to secure Veiga’s services.

Veiga has garnered attention with his impressive performances for Celta Vigo. Known for his technical ability, vision, and composure on the ball, Veiga surely possesses the qualities that Liverpool value in their midfield.

Veiga to the Reds?

Following the departure of several midfield mainstays, Liverpool surely could do with reinforcements in that department. Having on board a youngster like Veiga could mean the Reds future-proof themselves on the way as well.

The Reds aim to bolster their midfield department, providing more depth and competition in an area crucial to their playing style. We need a dynamic midfielder who can contribute both defensively and offensively, and Veiga’s skill set seems to fit the bill perfectly.

Even though it is tough to see him start games week in and week out, having a quality option on the bench and ready to summon as per our requirements is a feeling we as a club have lacked over the last few years.

With the potential incoming of Veiga, Liverpool could certainly solve that issue as well and challenge for silverware in the upcoming season and beyond.
