Liverpool ace unfazed by middle east interest and plots Anfield stay

Mohamed Salah is not leaving Liverpool despite Saudi links

As per the Mirror, Mohamed Salah is nowhere close to leaving Liverpool despite recent links with a move to Saudi Arabia this summer.

The report reveals that the Egyptian king has made it clear to the Liverpool hierarchy that he wishes to stay at the club. The feeling is understandably mutual from the other side.

There were murmurs that the Reds missing out on the Champions League might turn Salah’s head to leave the club. What this report has done is quashed those rumours.

It is also good from the player to reinstate his desire to continue playing for Liverpool and do his best for the team.

Salah signed a new deal with the club last summer that will keep him at Anfield until the summer of 2025. It would be great if he stays here till the end of his current term.

The 31-year-old has been simply amazing for Liverpool since joining the club back in 2017 from AS Roma. Regardless of whether the team is in form or not, Salah will come up with key performances and goals.

When Jurgen Klopp’s men underperformed by a long way last season, the Egyptian superstar managed to score 30 goals and assist 16 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions. Imagine if the team had played half-decent.

With Roberto Firmino gone this summer, Salah becomes the only player remaining at the club out of the famous front three that tore defences up and down the land between 2017 and 2022.

His job would now be to lead the new forward line consisting of the likes of Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.

The other four can still rely on just feeding the ball to Salah expecting the net to bulge. The more they play together, the better it will get.
