Liverpool star Fabinho talks about new signings Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai
Liverpool midfielder Fabinho recently shared his thoughts on the club’s new signings, Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig.
These additions come after the departure of several key midfielders over the summer transfer window, including Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Speaking to the club’s official website, Fabinho highlighted the importance of having a deep squad to maintain the intensity and the Liverpool style of play.
“In the way we play, the intensity we play, we always need not just three or four but maybe six players in this position [in the squad]. So yes, it’s good to have these two players with us now. We played against them already, so we know how good they are. It’s good to have them in the team.”
Fabinho expressed his satisfaction with the arrival of Mac Allister and Szoboszlai, stating that the team is already familiar with their abilities from having played against them in the past.
The Argentina international faced us in the Premier League last season while we have played against the Hungary international when he was at RB Salzburg in the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League season. The departure of key midfield figures from last season’s campaign was a significant blow to Liverpool.
However, the club’s swift response in securing signings like Mac Allister and Szoboszlai demonstrates their determination to strengthen the squad and address the void left by those departures.
As Liverpool prepares for the upcoming season, the new signings will play a crucial role in reshaping the team’s midfield dynamics. heir contributions on the field, coupled with the existing talent in the squad, will be essential in reestablishing Liverpool’s dominance and challenging for honours.
As fans, we eagerly anticipate seeing Mac Allister and Szoboszlai in action, as they bring their unique skills and qualities to Liverpool’s midfield.
The club needs our support as they strive for success in the upcoming season, aiming to surpass last season’s fifth-place finish and reclaim their position among the league’s elite.
