West Ham United offered former Liverpool player Arthur Melo

You would remember Arthur Melo from his brief loan spell at Liverpool last season.

The Brazilian midfielder’s time at Anfield was far from successful. Now, according to Tuttosport via liverpool.com, Juventus wants to offload Arthur, and West Ham have the opportunity to sign him.

The Italian outlet suggests that Juventus is keen to move the 26-year-old out of the club following his underwhelming loan spell at Liverpool. Unfortunately, Arthur’s time on the pitch remained limited to a mere 13 minutes before he suffered an injury that kept him out for the remainder of the season.

West Ham manager David Moyes was reportedly given the chance to acquire Arthur’s services while discussing a potential move for Denis Zakaria, another midfielder from Juventus. This offers West Ham an intriguing opportunity to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

Arthur to the Hammers?

As Liverpool fans, it’s clear that Arthur’s time at Anfield didn’t go according to plan. While injuries can often disrupt a player’s progress, it seems that Juventus has made the decision to part ways with the Brazilian.

While there are surely no hard feelings for Arthur from most Liverpool fans, a player can only do so much when injured. However, we would all be lying if we say we didn’t expect Arthur to turn up after January and turn things around for us. We move on with the famous saying, it is what it is.

While Arthur’s future remains uncertain, Liverpool’s attention should be directed towards their own transfer business and ensuring the squad is well-equipped for the challenges that lie ahead.

As the new season approaches, it’s important to trust in the decisions made by the club and have faith in the existing players who have proven their worth.
