PSG superstar Marco Verratti is willing to join Liverpool this summer

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) superstar Marco Verratti is willing to join Liverpool in the ongoing transfer window, according to Spanish outlet El Nacional.

The Italy international is looking to leave the Parisians this summer. He does not feel valued at the Parc des Princes side anymore and has been in touch with a number of top teams regarding a switch in the coming weeks.

Real Madrid are one of the teams who have been contacted by the midfielder’s representatives. However, Los Blancos are not interested in him. La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid also have the 30-year-old on their radar.

Jurgen Klopp has Verratti on his list of potential targets. To that end, the player has already given his ‘ok’ to join the Reds. All that remains now is for the Anfield side to reach a consensus with the Ligue 1 outfit to acquire the midfielder’s services.

PSG signed the Italian in the summer of 2012 from Pescara. Subsequently, the 30-year-old has developed into one of the best midfielders in the world over the years.

Verratti has been influential at the Parc des Princes side, winning multiple league titles. However, the Italian has been unable to get his hands on the Champions League with the French outfit.

At Liverpool, the middle of the park is about to lose a lot of quality with the potential departure of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. James Milner, Alex Oclade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita have already left this summer.

We have added Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai to our ranks. Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones and Stefan Bajcetic are also at Klopp’s disposal. However, all of them are still a bit inexperienced.
