Fabinho has completed medical tests as Al Ittihad player, here we go!
Liverpool and Al Ittihad are still waiting to sign documents, medical approved as verbal agreement has been reached. Deal being completed and sealed on three year contract.
Fabinho’s departure from Liverpool is undoubtedly a significant loss for the team. The Brazilian midfielder has been an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s side since he arrived from AS Monaco in 2018. His defensive prowess, tactical intelligence, and composure on the ball made him a vital presence in the heart of Liverpool’s midfield.
With Fabinho’s move to Saudi Arabia, Liverpool faces the challenge of filling the void left in their midfield. The departure of experienced players like Jordan Henderson [also to Saudi], James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita over the summer window has already weakened the midfield options.
Fabinho to Saudi
While Liverpool have eyes on a young talent like Romeo Lavia as a potential replacement, the experience lost over the summer window cannot remain compensated by the signings of youngsters. The Brazilian was not only a crucial defensive shield but also a vocal presence on the field, guiding his teammates and maintaining the team’s balance. While we also have Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, we surely need a vocal and experienced presence in the middle of the park.
The summer transfer window has been one of change and transition for Liverpool’s midfield. The departures of key players have prompted the need for reinforcements in the centre of the park. While young talents can bring promise and potential, they may not immediately provide the same level of experience and stability.
Fabinho’s move to Al Ittihad marks the end of an era for Liverpool, with several stalwart midfielders leaving the club in quick succession. While the team’s focus remains on the future and building a strong squad, it is essential to acknowledge the contributions of these players.
