This interest is amid doubts over Andy Robertson’s long-term capabilities in a hybrid role. Although adding at least one new midfielder is his priority, Klopp is still looking to strengthen his defence by adding a new centre-back to his squad.

However, Klopp is still looking to add more players to his squad. Levi Colwill, who saw himself linked with a move to Liverpool after impressing on loan at Brighton last season, is no longer an option after he signed a six-year deal at Chelsea.
