Liverpool to launch £21.5m bid for Andre Trindade

Following up on the news of Liverpool soon launching a bid for Fluminese star Andre Trindade, that speculation now has a number to it.

Brazilian outlet Terra, via Paisley Gates (h/t ECHO), claim that the Reds will soon launch an offer from Andre priced at £21.5m. The anticipation surrounding this potential bid has cast a spotlight on Liverpool’s midfield “rebuild”, which is still a work in progress with the season not so far away.

This narrative gains even more depth when considered against the backdrop of recent events. The second rejection in the club’s bid for Romeo Lavia could possibly have been a trigger for the Reds to accelerate their bid to bring in Andre.

Amid the backdrop of such developments, the emergence of Trindade as a possible target is positive news for fans as there has been no transfer activity except for the outgoing of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho since we signed Dominik Szoboszlai.

If Liverpool do table an offer for Trindade, it will be interesting to see how Fluminese responds. The Brazilian club may be reluctant to part with one of their key players, but the lure of playing for a top European club like Liverpool could be too much for Trindade to resist.

Overall, Liverpool fans will be keeping a close eye on developments in the coming days as the club looks to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.

If Liverpool can secure the signing of Andre Trindade, it could be a significant boost to the team’s midfield and help them compete for silverware both domestically and in Europe.
