22-year-old Brazil international is transfer ‘Plan A’ for Liverpool

Transfer News: Andre Trindade is ‘Plan A’ for Liverpool

The latest revelation on the Andre Trindade – Liverpool saga is one of positive news for the Reds as there are growing expectations for the Reds to accelerate their interest in the Brazil international.

Netflu via liverpool.com claim that Andre is ‘Plan A’ for Liverpool and also that there remains an expectancy around the Merseysiders’ increasing their interest to sign the 22-year-old defensive midfielder from Fluminese.

However, the road to his signature is not simple as the report further states that the Reds will have to pay his release clause to secure his signature this summer as Fluminese want to retain his services until the end of their season, in December. The release clause is €46m

and the Brazilian club expect that amount in full.

As the season approaches, the midfield landscape stands as an area of pressing concern, demanding swift and strategic action.

Andre to the Reds?

The departure of seven midfielders from the club, including key figures like Jordan Henderson and James Milner, has created a void that is yet to be fully addressed. The midfield certainly finds itself in a state of transition. As the new campaign looms large, the need for reinforcements becomes ever more evident. The lack of transfer activity, particularly in the midfield department, has ignited a sense of unease among Liverpool fans.

There are no natural holding midfielders at the club right now, and if Andre makes the switch to the Reds, from a footballing point of view, would walk into the squad. That is if Jurgen Klopp sticks to the current system. Having said that, a #6 is a necessity in almost any setup.

With the summer transfer window slowly inching towards its conclusion, the clock ticks louder. The season opener against Chelsea will fly past sooner than most know, and it is of utmost importance to get on board quality midfielders soon.

So late into the transfer window, it is surely not wise to find ways or cut corners to save money. At this point in time, getting transfers done should be the priority. We left it late, so we have to pay the price for it.
