“The best thing about it”- Pundit more than happy with Liverpool’s summer transfer window

Paul Ince says Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp have addressed their weaknesses in the transfer market

The midfield was among the biggest issues for Liverpool last year and Paul Ince believes that the Reds have addressed most of these issues over the summer transfer window this campaign. The Reds have roped in four midfielders and the future certainly seems exciting for Jurgen Klopp and his men.

Speaking to LuckyBlock.com via ECHO, here is what the former Liverpool man had to say on Klopp addressing the issues of the club over the summer:

“What Liverpool have done better than their rivals, is they’ve recognised a weakness in the squad and done something about it. Mac Allister was a fantastic buy for the money they spent on him.”

“I watched Gravenberch when he was younger and he’s a lovely player. Very elegant and technically very, very good.”

“As for Dominik, he looks like he’s played for Liverpool for two or three years already. The best thing about it is that these players are still young. They have so many years until they grow into their peak at 28/29 years old.”

Last season, creativity from midfield was lacking in the Reds’ style of play. But bringing on board the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai has reduced that to a great extent. Szoboszlai, in particular, has been extremely transformational and provides an attacking dynamic we last saw during Philippe Coutinho’s time at the Reds.

Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have elevated Liverpool FC’s midfield.

Alexis Mac Allister is another player whose versatility will only help the Reds cause. In the four league games so far, Macca has played almost everywhere along the midfield lines. The best part about these two players is the fact that they’re still very young. They have their best footballing years ahead of them, and that is surely great for the Merseysiders.

New-look midfield for the Reds

Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch are the two other players we signed over the summer. While Endo still looks rough, his time at Stuttgart makes his talent common knowledge. The Dutchman, though, is yet to play for the Reds, and the hope within the camp is to see him start against Wolverhampton after the international break alongside Szobo and Macca.

The fact that the likes of Ince among others have noticed that the gaffer has addressed these issues is a testament to what a great manager Jurgen Klopp is. While these changes came one season late, better late than never.

Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo concluded Liverpool FC’s transfer business.

As the season unfolds, fans will be eager to see how these new midfield signings integrate into Klopp’s system and contribute to the team’s success. The midfield trio brings a range of skills and attributes that can enhance Liverpool’s ability to control games, create scoring opportunities, and maintain their competitive edge in both domestic and European competitions.

Ince’s endorsement of Liverpool’s summer midfield acquisitions underscores the positive direction the club is heading in, as they look to address their weaknesses and continue their pursuit of silverware. With a blend of youth and talent in the midfield, Liverpool’s future indeed looks exciting under Jurgen Klopp’s guidance.
