“Doesn’t ever go”- 20-year-old Liverpool starlet wants Mohamed Salah to stay at the club for his entire career

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott urges Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah to never go amid Saudi links

Harvey Elliott has revealed that he learns a lot from Mohamed Salah and hopes the Egyptian forward remains with Liverpool “throughout his entire career.”

In the 3-1 victory over Wolves on Saturday, the African winger provided one assist to Cody Gakpo and Andy Robertson each, contributing to the Reds’ impressive start in the Premier League campaign. Salah almost achieved a hat-trick of assists when he set up Elliott for a goal that was ultimately credited as an own goal by Hugo Bueno at Molineux.

The win briefly placed Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table with 13 points out of a possible 15. However, they have now been placed in third place, two points adrift of defending champions and league leaders Manchester City.

This season, Salah has scored two goals and provided four assists for his teammates, bringing his total assists since the beginning of the previous season to 16. This figure makes him the joint leader in the division for assists, alongside Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

Surprisingly, a mammoth offer of up to £200 million was made for the 31-year-old by Al-Ittihad in recent weeks. The Saudi Pro League champions are likely to make another attempt, as their initial offer was straightaway rejected by Liverpool’s management.

However, English midfielder Elliott wants to persuade Salah to continue his career at Liverpool, as he wants to learn a lot from the former AS Roma star.

As quoted by the Athletic, the 20-year-old said:

“Mo is unbelievable, as a player and a guy. Touch wood he doesn’t ever go because I’m trying to learn off him and apply it to my game. Hopefully, he doesn’t leave and he’s here for the rest of his career. To be learning from him is a dream come true.”

After scoring against Wolves, Salah has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the African player with the most

Premier League assists in history, surpassing Riyad Mahrez’s record with 63 assists.

With these two assists, the star winger is now leading the Premier League’s assist chart for the season. Additionally, he recently became Liverpool’s fifth all-time top scorer.

Considering all these crazy numbers and the rate at which Salah is still scoring goals for his side, the fans and the players have a reason to worry about his future. The club would want their prized asset to stay and fight against the offer made by the Saudi clubs.

It is highly difficult to find someone to fill the void left by the No. 11. The Egyptian honcho has had a fantastic start to the season, and Jurgen Klopp will be counting on his superstar to maintain this form and help Liverpool compete for titles throughout the season.

Salah has been finding his form early in the season, and even though it’s only five games in, his top performance could play a significant role in Liverpool’s quest to win a silverware this campaign.
