To celebrate Klopp reaching the milestone of eight years as manager, Gerrard uploaded a photo of the German on his Instagram story.

The Liverpool legend simply added a heart emoji to the post, but the message was crystal clear. Gerrard was showing his appreciation for Klopp’s incredible tenure.

Few understand better than Gerrard the magnitude of Klopp’s achievements at Anfield. The former captain represented Liverpool with distinction for 17 seasons but was unable to deliver the major trophies Klopp has. Gerrard came close, most notably in the famous 2005 Champions League triumph. But he never won the Premier League or added another European crown.

Klopp has ticked those boxes and more while reestablishing Liverpool as a dominant force.

Gerrard’s heart emoji perfectly summed up the gratitude from Liverpool supporters worldwide towards their cherished manager on his anniversary.

Eight years on from his arrival, Klopp remains a fans’ favorite at Anfield thanks to the joy he has brought.
