Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is full of praise for fellow summer signing Dominik Szoboszlai
Dominik Szoboszlai, when joining Liverpool was a growing stock for sure. However, the trajectory he is on now is of the next level and that is surely going to help the Reds going forward.
Ryan Gravenberch, who joined Liverpool on deadline day earlier this summer, spoke about how Szoboszlai is on another tangent. He also goes on to say that the 22-year-old Hungarian’s prowess in training left him in awe.
The Reds’ midfield situation which was facing a stern test before the summer transfer window, thanks to Jurgen Klopp and Co. has successfully undergone an overhaul, of sorts. While there are still some voids to fill, the major issues, mostly related to age, now see themselves snoozed for a considerable time.
Speaking to Sky Sports on their Reddit AMA video on YouTube, Gravenberch talked about Szobo and here is what the former Ajax man had to say:
“I think it was Dom Szoboszlai,”
“Because this guy’s shot is… it’s crazy!”
“Also sometimes in training, sometimes we shoot after training and it’s like ‘one, two, three’, they go all in. Crazy things. So I think it’s Dom with his shot.”
Even though he has only two goals from 11 appearances for the Reds across all competitions, it is Szobo’s pressing that is among the better aspects of his game for Liverpool so far. Goals and assists shall surely come with time, but the energy he brings in the middle of the park for Jurgen Klopp is unparalleled.
Big Dom Szoboszlai
It is worth noting that both of these goals for the former Leipzig man came at a distance from goal and boy, both were absolute stunners.
All the summer signings including Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo and Szoboszlai himself, the quartet of midfielders will surely play an important part in the Reds climbing back to the top of English football after a poor domestic run last year.
Hopefully, Szobo continues this positive run of form he has been on for a long time and gives the Reds much more to cheer about.
