“From what I’m told”- Fabrizio Romano clears the air about Victor Osimhen’s links with Liverpool

Fabrizio Romano reveals the scoop about Liverpool links to Victor Osimhen

Following the reports of Jurgen Klopp wanting to add another striker to his arsenal at Liverpool, Napoli star Victor Osimhen saw himself linked with a move to the Reds. The 24-year-old Nigerian international has been in top form for the last two seasons.

However, renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update that might quell the enthusiasm around these rumours linking Osimhen with a move to the Reds.

Romano shared some insights into Liverpool’s interest in Victor Osimhen. Contrary to earlier reports claiming that Liverpool had already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Nigerian striker, Romano clarified that Osimhen had not agreed to any terms with Liverpool or any other club, not even with his current club, Napoli.

Fabrizio Romano talks about Victor Osimhen links with Liverpool; clears rumours.

“Some media is reporting that Victor Osimhen already agreed contract terms with Liverpool,”

“Guys from what I’m told, Victor Osimhen hasn’t agreed anything with any club – not even with Napoli.”

“So Osimhen will take his time. Reports of an agreement with Liverpool are not true. For sure, Liverpool and many other clubs are keeping an eye on the situation of many strikers. But at the moment for Osimhen, nothing is agreed and nothing is decided.”

It appears that the situation regarding Osimhen’s future is still very much up in the air, despite growing interest from several clubs, including Liverpool.

Osimhen to the Reds?

The Osimhen transfer saga has gained momentum due to reported issues behind the scenes at Napoli, which could potentially see the talented striker leaving the club in the coming months. This has led to speculation about a possible transfer, with Liverpool emerging as one of the clubs keenly interested in securing his services.

Liverpool’s potential interest in Osimhen adds another layer of intrigue to their already impressive array of attacking options. With talented forwards like Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo at their disposal, Liverpool boast an attacking lineup that is the envy of many clubs. Keeping this in mind, it is best if the Reds think twice before making a move for any other attacker, albeit a player of Osimhen’s calibre.

For now, Liverpool supporters can only wait and watch, wondering whether the addition of the former Lille man is truly necessary at this point.
