Liverpool to battle several top clubs for the signature of AC Milan prodigy Francesco Camarda
Liverpool faces a battle against several top clubs from Europe to sign the AC Milan prodigy Francesco Camarda. The 15-year-old became the youngest ever player to play in the Serie A as Milan beat Fiorentina 1-0 on Saturday.
Camarda came off the bench in the 83rd minute to replace Luka Jovic, making his senior team debut for Milan. The Italian club got permission from the Italian FA to promote the youngster into the senior team.
The Italy U17 need to wait till 10th March, his birthday, to be eligible to sign his first professional deal. The 15-year-old’s introductions to the senior team show that Milan are very serious about his future at the club.
According to 90min (h/t Liverpool Echo), a long list of top clubs, including Liverpool, have shown interest in luring Camarda. Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and Manchester City are also keen to sign the 15-year-old.
Standing at 1.84 metres, the 15-year-old is already a physical specimen, capable of withstanding physicality at the top level. Camarda is an excellent target man with a brilliant finishing ability, having the killer instinct and composure alongside natural technique.
The Italian youngster uses fantastic off-the-ball movement and game intelligence to create space in the offensive final third. He has made a good all-round contribution at the youth level alongside scoring numerous goals, he has provided many assists.
Camarda often drops deep to draw the defenders away from their position and create spaces for others to exploit. The 15-year-old provides a strong link-up play with midfielders and wide players, using quick flicks and through-balls into channels.

Camarda has a lot of work to do in his decision-making and honing the immense talent that he already possesses. However, the youngster seems not far away from regular senior-level action to gain important experience that will aid his development.
