Liverpool will face stiff competition from La Liga giants while shopping for Jurgen Klopp’s replacement

Liverpool will need to compete with La Liga giants as both teams are currently looking for a new manager for the 2024/25 season. Jurgen Klopp recently announced that he will be taking a leave from Anfield next season. The German manager has run out of energy after nine years at the helm.

Over in La Liga, Barcelona have also received a major blow as club legend Xavi Hernandez has decided to step down as manager at the end of the season. The Spanish midfielder came to the Catalan club when no one else would and has now decided to leave after receiving a ton of backlash from the fans.

Moreover, Premier League giants, Manchester United and Chelsea could also be in the market for new managers. Both Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino could be sacked if they fail to turn their season around.

With all of this in mind, Liverpool’s job will surely not be easy. All of the front runners to replace Jurgen Klopp are also being looked at by rival clubs. While Xabi Alonso will likely be inclined to move to Anfield, his tactics might not be a hit with the Reds.

Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen play a ton of short passes in the middle as they try and work the ball into the box. Liverpool on the other hand plays very aggressively and makes a ton of long passes into the final third. With this in mind, it is not a guarantee that the former Club legend would be a hit at Anfield.
