Liverpool U21 manager Barry Lewtas praised Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley for comfortably becoming senior team regulars
The U21 head coach Barry Lewtas lauded Liverpool youngsters Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley for solidifying their senior team role. Quansah and Bradley have taken the opportunity that the Reds manager Jurgen Klopp provided them this season.
Liverpool are currently at the top of the Premier League table and despite the tough competition, Klopp has pushed youngsters. The 56-year-old continues to provide ample amount of opportunities to young Academy talents, creating a healthy nurturing environment at Liverpool.
The Reds are taking every cup competition seriously, having progressed in the FA Cup and the Europa League. Furthermore, they are playing Chelsea in the Carabao Cup finals on 25th February, having enjoyed a good campaign.
Liverpool faced an injury crisis within the squad and congested fixtures that increased due to progression in cup competitions. Nevertheless, Klopp used the Academy players alongside senior team players as they lived up to the faith shown by him.
Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Lewtas praised Quansah and Bradley for solidifying their spot in the senior team this season. He said:
“It’s been an unbelievable season. These boys are playing in massive games, they aren’t just coming on to finish a game off, they are starting in games. I don’t think people really bat an eyelid now if Jarell or Conor are starting. That is pretty remarkable really.”
Klopp has regularly deployed Quansah in the defence as a rotation for Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate. The 21-year-old has consistently delivered strong performances for the Reds, showcasing his quality on and off the ball.
Quansah has made 19 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and three assists this season. He has displayed fantastic ball distribution, positioning sense, mature tackling abilities, and well-timed interceptions, playing alongside different defensive partners.

Meanwhile, Bradley has made nine appearances in all competitions so far, contributing with one goal and five assists. The 20-year-old has delivered a couple of man-of-the-match performances when Liverpool lost Trent Alexander-Arnold to injury in January.
